Prayers Needed

May 6, 2024 - The past several months our lead, Dennis Wollman, has been facing health issues including cancer and myasthenia  gravis. Please pray for him and his family as he undergoes treatments and tries to determine a path forward. We know that God is in control and is the ultimate healer. Dennis needs your prayers for strength, comfort, and healing.

As his strength weakens he is unable to sing with us at this time and we are grateful to have Joel Juillard step in as we continue to minister.

Arizona Trip

On January 31, 2024 we left for Arizona to sing in several venues and enjoy a winter retreat. It was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed our time together in our pianist's stomping ground near Phoenix and met some wonderful people as we shared our message of faith and God's amazing salvation. Everyone we met was welcoming , kind, and generous. We are grateful for this opportunity.

January 25, 2018 - We have taken a winter break while our pianist was in Arizona. She is due back February 1 and we will get right back to work. We have not been idle during her absence and have worked on our acapella style. You will hear some of these great hymns in our future concerts.

August 30, 2016 - Jake Van Den Hul is retiring from Gospel Gold due to health reasons. The myasthenia gravis has stabilized as he manages it with medication, but there are still days of extreme fatigue. We have so appreciated his contribution to Gospel Gold the past three years. He has a heart of gold and I am sure you will still find him singing somewhere. You can't keep a good man down!

November 15, 2015 - Thank you all for your support and prayers the last few months. We will be taking the next month off, as Jake will be going to Mayo to seek help with his extreme fatigue caused by the myasthenia gravis. Please pray for the doctors as they seek a solution and for patience and strength for Jake. We know that all things are possible. We put our trust in the great Healer and yield to His will and direction while we continue to give Him praise and glorify His Holy Name.

October 19, 2015 - We ask for your continued prayers for our lead, Doug Kraayenhof. In the last few weeks Doug has suffered a series of strokes, but is now back home recovering. Some sight, memory, and responses have been affected, but he was able to sing with us in Sibley, IA yesterday. God is good! We give Him all the praise and glory for His amazing touch. We continue to pray for improvement and healing for Doug, his family, and the quartet as we seek God's will in all we do.

August 24, 2015 - As many of you know our baritone, Jake Van Den Hul has had some health issues. Nine days ago he was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune disorder where the signal from the nerves to the muscles becomes blocked. It is treatable and Jake is now on medication and back singing with us. Praise God! Prayers are welcome as Jake continues to strengthen his muscles. We are so thankful for God's continuing love, grace, and care for his people.

We are delighted to welcome Doug Kraayenhof as our new tenor. He will be replacing Jake Van Den Hul who has moved to our baritone position. Former baritone Bill Hoffman has retired to fulfill other commitments. With this change up you will hear a different sound, but I am sure you will enjoy the same spirit of praise in the gospel tunes and melodies we hold so dear.
I can't wait for you to get to know Doug. You will enjoy his smooth easy voice and sharing spirit. Read more about him here.
Thank you, Bill Hoffman, for all that you have contributed to Gospel Gold the past two years. It has been our joy to work and minister with you. We wish you well in your future endeavors.
